If you have "Reward Miles" or "Top-Up Miles" left when your policy is due to renew these are carried forward into the next year. However, if you have "Policy Miles" left, these are lost and not carried forward. There is no financial exchange for lost Miles.

"Policy Miles" are the number of Miles upon which your annual premium is based.

When you purchase a BoxyMo policy you choose how many "Policy Miles" you require for the year. Throughout the policy term, you have the potential to earn "Reward Miles" based on your driving behaviours and the annual number of policy miles selected.

If you require more miles than the total of your "Policy Miles" and "Reward Miles", you can purchase "Top-Up Miles" in bundles of 400, 800 and 1500. You can see the cost per miles on MyBoxyMo.

There are three different types of Miles, "Policy Miles", "Top-Up Miles" and "Reward Miles". You use your Policy Miles first, followed by ”Top Up” Miles and ”Reward” Miles. Policy Miles are the only ones that may not be rolled over to next year’s renewal. After renewal, any rollover Miles from the previous year are used first, before your new Policy Miles.

"Reward" Miles* are additional miles you can earn for safe driving. If you drive responsibly you could earn "Reward" Miles each month. Prove that you are a safe driver and allow us to treat you as an individual. Although you may start earning "Reward" Miles immediately, you will not be able to see them on MyBoxyMo for the first 3 months after the start of your policy. During this time we will be collecting information from the Telematics boxes of all our customers to ensure that we deliver to you a system which accurately and fairly rewards your driving behaviour.

BoxyMo collects information about how you are driving your car. We then use this data to score your driving and your driving score determines how many ”Reward” Miles* you will be allocated. The better you drive the more ”Reward” Miles you can earn. ”Reward” Miles also help us work out how much you pay when you renew.

"Top Up" Miles are additional Miles you can buy if you need more Miles (on top of your "Policy Miles" and "Reward" Miles). You can buy "Top Up" Miles in bundles of 250, 500, 1000 Miles at any time during the term of your policy. The cost of "Top Up" Miles depends on the price of your policy - this is called your cost per mile rate and it was set when you took out your policy, changed your details, or when you renewed. Your cost per mile rate can be viewed on the "Top Up Station" page of MyBoxyMo, and you can see the price of your "Top Up" Miles bundles on the Top Up Miles page. You can buy Top Up Miles online via the Top Up Miles page on MyBoxyMo, or by phone on 1890 000 000. If you don't use up all your "Top Up" Miles, you can roll them over to your next renewal (although they can't be refunded if you do not renew).
